Halloween sucks...

[Miley Beauvais]

Who is he talking about? she thought to herself as the cab stopped, but John got out before she could ask. "Thanks.." she muttered to the cabby as she opened the door on her side and stepped out of the car, shutting it behind her. She watched as it drove off, then looked at John again. "Who's he?"

[St. John Allerdyce]

"Magneto," John said heading towards the Brotherhood house at a casual pace, "I didn't want to say his name in the car because that cabby was giving us a funny look as we drove over here."

[Miley Beauvais]

"Oh." She was still confused, having no idea who Magneto was. And that was probably a bad thing. She started walking alongside him and slid her hands into her jacket pockets. "Who's that?" she asked, figuring it was a stupid question.

[St. John Allerdyce]

"He's a powerful mutant, a master of Magnetism as he and the rest of the mutant world views it," John said approaching the rather large gate that granted members access to the Brotherhood's domain. "This place isn't much, but we call it home," he said holding the gate open for Miley and swiftly shutting it behind her.

She nodded at his answer, and stopped in front of the gate. Miley walked through it as he held it open for her and glanced around at the grounds of the domain.

[St. John Allerdyce]

"Just be sure to watch out for Toad, he's got a wicked tongue," John said as he approached the front door of the domain. He took a key to the door from his pocket, turning it in the lock mostly for show. The door was rarely ever locked as nobody came to the Brotherhood with hostile intentions and left alive.

Miley blinked when he mentioned Toad, and she remembered that one afternoon at the lake when he'd offered her a spot in the Brotherhood. "We've already met.." she said quietly as she stopped behind him as he turned the key in the lock.

[St. John Allerdyce]

"Good, so you know who he is then," John said entering the Brotherhood domain. He unbuttoned his jacket as he stepped into entrance foyer. He tossed the set of keys in his hand onto a small table that sat by the door. He had no need for them anymore.

"Unfortunately, I do." she replied following him inside. She looked around, like a 'lost little kid' as some people had told her once or twice, since she did that a lot.

[St. John Allerdyce]

"Yeah, it's nothing special," John said putting his hands into his coat pocket, "Just a place for all of us to live in."

[Miley Beauvais]

"Yeah, but it's better than nothing." Miley said, shrugging. "So...exactly where do I go?"

[St. John Allerdyce]

"I think there's a spare room upstairs," he said a bit unsure of the fact, "I'd just wait there until I talk with Magneto about you. But, like I said before I'm pretty sure that he'll let you in easy especially if another member was trying to recruit you."

[Miley Beauvais]

"Oh, thanks." she said, looking towards the stairs. Unzipping her jacket, she glanced once more at John before heading up the stairs.
