Halloween sucks...

[Miley Beauvais]

Miley walked quietly through the mall, not really looking at anybody. She was wearing a semi-long black skirt, and a white T-shirt underneath a black hooded jacket. She stuffed her hands into her pockets as she looked in the store windows at the Halloween stuff. "Stupid..." she muttered to herself. She wasn't a big fan of Halloween, and never bothered to celebrate it. Sighing softly, she looked around at all the people around her, not seeing the person walking in front of her in the opposite direction. Before she knew it, she'd run into somebody, and stumbled back. "Oh..sorry." she mumbled.

[St. John Allerdyce]

"Yeah, you should really watch where you're going," John said in a sarcastic tone as he regained his balance. He wasn't knocked off of his feet or anything, but she had still managed to make him stumbled back wards a couple steps. "You wouldn't want to get burned now," he said in the same sarcastic tone, "After all, that's what happens when you play with fire."

Miley didn't bother to look to see who she'd run into until he replied. She looked at him, recognizing him. Not that she actually knew this guy, but she'd seen him around before. "Wow..you're hilarious." she said sarcastically, rolling her eyes. She started to walk past him, shoving his shoulder as she did.

[St. John Allerdyce]

A coy smirk crossed John's face as the girl that had the audacity to run into him knocked his shoulder and just kept walking on. "You don't know who I am do you," he asked creating a flame in his hand. He tossed the flame into the halloween store, setting one of the latex masks on fire. Colorful plumes of smoke filled the air around the burning latex mask.

Stopping suddenly, Miley turned around to face him again. She watched the flame as it hit one of the masks inside the store. "Is this the part where I'm supposed to be terrified?" she asked, looking at the boy again. "Cause..if that's what you were expecting..it's not going to happen." She looked down at the floor, towards the boy's shadow, and just stood still for a moment. The shadow started to move, and her eyes followed it as it slowly started to wrap around his legs. "Hardly anything scares me anymore."

[St. John Allerdyce]

"So, you're one of us too then," he said watching his own shadow wrap around his legs, "Then I've got nothing against you. It's those damn humans I've got a problem with, not you. Say, why don't you come help us. We can help you, I can help you be rid of what you hate the most." The flame in John's hand went out almost a second later as the pyrokenetic mutant waited for a response from this mutant girl.

Miley stared at him as the flame disappeared. The shadow stopped, and dropped back onto the floor as if it hadn't even moved. "I don't need anybody's help." she replied, shaking her head. "And what makes you think I hate them anyway?"

[St. John Allerdyce]

"I don't here you saying you don't hate them," John said smirking, "But, if you don't want my help that's fine then. I'd just suggest you get out of the here within the next five minuets 'cause there's no doubt that the pig headed guards saw our little show on that security camera over there and have no doubt called the 'proper' authorities." John had motioned over to one of the security cameras in the mall as he spoke of the guards and the small device, being sure to point them out to Miley before he continued merrily on his way through the mall.

Miley quickly turned her attention to the security camera that he'd pointed out. She stared at it for a moment, then turned back to the boy, who was starting to walk off. It would've been so easy for her to get out of there in a mere few seconds, but he'd made her curious. Part of her just wanted to get out of there as soon as possible, but the other part wanted to follow and ask questions. It was that part that took over, and Miley started walking after him until she was beside him. "What could you possibly do to help me anyways?"

[St. John Allerdyce]

"Revenge mostly. I can help you get rid of those that have hurt you, those that will hurt you," he spoke with a cold emotionless tone as he continued down the mall. "Believe it or not, a war is coming and you should choose a side before the humans choose one for you." John stopped infront of a fast food stand/shop in the food court of the mall and bought himself a quick drink, telling the cashier to keep the change.

"Believe it or not, a war is coming and you should choose a side before the humans choose one for you." She stared at him as he said it, realizing what he meant. She'd heard plenty about this so-called 'cure'...everybody had...but unlike him, Miley was partially actually considering it. "Don't see what could be so wrong with that..." she muttered, glancing at one shopper who was looking at her with a half-scared look on his face.

[St. John Allerdyce]

"What're you looking at normie," John said slightly jumping at the frightened man, "get out of my face before I roast you like the pig you are." John extended his hand, sending flames erupting towards the man stopping just before his face.

Miley jumped when she saw him send the flames towards the man. The man's shadow moved when she jumped, and it shot up from the floor as if to block the flames from him. Then, in a second, it surrounded the flames for a moment until they disappeared. Miley stared at the shadow as it dropped back onto the floor. She hadn't meant to do that..she hadn't really meant to do anything.

[St. John Allerdyce]

"What the hell did you do that for," he asked, slightly enraged by Miley's actions, "You're no better than those X-men if you keep this up. Is that what you want, to stand up for these worms when they do nothing but ridicule you?! What's the point in doing something like that?!"

She looked at the floor, John's yelling starting to sound as if he were a mile away. It reminded her of the last time she'd been yelled at...by humans...scared, stupid humans. She looked at him for a moment, anger flaring in her eyes. Then she looked at the man, who was just standing there stupidly. She didn't move, but the man's shadow did move again. In just a couple of seconds, his shadow wrapped around his legs, causing him to fall on the floor. The shadow didn't let go, but wrapped itself tighter. "Do what you want." she muttered to John.
