Kat was sitting underneath a tree on the Xavier's school's grounds. She loved being able to enjoy the open air and sunshine, it'd been at least a year since she had.
"Lovely." She whispered to herself. She sat there, watching the clouds for a little longer before she picked up the black duffle bag sitting next to her. She put it in her lap and pulled out a flute case and a book of classical sheet music. She flipped to a difficult piece she had been trying to learn before she was forced to run. It was Flight of the Bumble Bee, but a solo instead of for a full orchestra. She sat it next to her knee before opening the flute case and assembling her flute. She tuned it a little by playing the concert B flat scale. She zipped the duffle bag back up before sitting it back next to her and moving the music to her lap so she could see it. She focused on the music, trying to remember what she had learned before. She controlled the sound so that no one but she could hear it.
She moved her fingers slowly, hitting each note before moving on to the next one. She played the first measure slowly, then repeated it again and again until she could play it at the proper tempo.
