her mother was killed at age 9. She was murdered and Parvati was found at the scene, hiding under a table. she had the claws in her stomach, and was talking to her mom, though her mom was dead.
She found her father, who was a Crime Scene Investogater, and ran away from him because she thought he would find out she is a freak. She went from city to city until she got found by one of the Xmen.

Max walked into the Hog's Head, in the mood for some peace and quiet. She kept her hood up and covered her face. It was some sort of a shady place, for Hogsmeade. The place was pretty empty, probably everyone was at the noisy Three Broomsticks. It seemed sort of silly.
"Umm, bartender, can I have a coffee, black?" she placed some galleons on the table. Max pulled her hood down to expose her face. "Hey, what's up? I'm Max." She held her hand out for Mary to shake. She then looked at Tif, who she did not know the name of and she was still looking at a menu.
Max looked around once more. The only other living thing in the shop was an old man fiddling with his teeth (or maybe they were dentures?), and a half-dead bird, repeating 'Polly want a beer!' over and over.
