Rain. Thunder. Lightning. All three of those things didn't matter to the latex clad woman sitting on the edge of a rooftop outside at 3 a.m. She couldn't stand it in the Brotherhood's head quarters, as well as she couldn't sleep. There were too many people in a closed off space for her liking and the same continuous nightmare didn't allow her to sleep. When she destroyed her alarm clock with her power it was the last straw.
Now she was getting completely soaked on a roof of some building. But she didn't mind the rain at all, in fact she enjoyed it. Seemed to match her mood right now. A part of her regretted the lack of stars because of the storm, but lightning was good enough for now. Selene was often times called the creature of the night because of her inclination toward night rather than day. She was also called a goth girl because of how she liked to dress now, yet all the times she had a sarcastic comeback. The telekinetic had lost everything that she cared for in her life. Her mother, her family, her friends. Life couldn't suck more.
How ironical it was that the nickname she chose was Glory. Yes, she had great powers but were they worth it all? Perhaps she would have been better off if she didn't exist at all. Yet she clinged to life, to revenge on the humanity that had cost her so much. That had cost her everything except her life and powers. The only thing she had left were memories and revenge. A deep sigh escaped the now quiet soaked mutant. How it was almost funny that she wanted to become a hero to help those ignorant hateful humans. Now it was thing of the past - 'Power Girl' was dead ever since her mother died.
