Lex paced back and forth on 21st Street. The wind wisped her golden hair into a frenzied mess. In her hand she held twelve small motebooks containing everything she'd ever written since Joseph left. She remembered that day rather vividly, it was the worst memory that she had of her brother.
Lex decided to sit on a small bench as she waited for him to show. She didn't think he would but the connection that they had let her know that he was close. It also let her know that he was doubting his reasons for even thinking of showing up. Lex hung her head. Had she been that bad of a sister? Was she really a burden on his broad shoulders? It was hard to tell, but she knew that he resented her in some way.

Step after step, brought each memory flooding back to him. Joseph kept his mouth shut as the sudden urge to scream crept up on him. He missed Lex, he could admit that much, but saying he was wrong was out of the question. He wasn't wrong, but niether was Lex.
Joseph sighed and looked up to see if he were any closer to her. He knew he was from the constant tingle in tha back of his neck that told him that she was close. He looked up and immediately spotted her. She looked terribly sad and somehow, he knew it was because of him. the connection that they had led her into all of his feelings and thoughts. She knew his fears, goals, lovers, and lies, which made him even more to blame.

Lex looked up and met his gaze halfway. She stood up and dropped all of her books onto the ground as he eyes almost immediately teared up. She ran to him as fast as she could, but it all felt like a lifetime. She and Joseph used to laugh at those old movies with the cheesy slow motion running scenes. Never once would she have believed that it would happen to her.
She collided into Joseph's arms, burying her face into his shoulder and wrapping he legs around his waist. Lex tried to say his name, but all that came out was a choked squeak. Words just didn't decribe the plethora of emotions that filled her.

Joseph wrapped his arms around her tightly. He wanted nothing more than to stay like this forever. He felt silent tears well up in his eyes and this time he didn't care. He cried freely into her shoulder, it was a rare occasion for him to cry, but this time it was needed. "Lex.."he said. "God I missed you."

Lex pulled her head from his shoulder and looked at him. She wanted to pinch herself to make sure this was all real. But the fear that it wasn't prevented her from doing so. Tears still streamed down her cheeks, but she barely noticed. She couldn't notice something so miniscule when her brother, her twin brother stood before her in the flesh.
Lex unwraped her legs from his waist and stood flat footed on the ground. She found it nearly impossible to breathe correctly, instead her breath was shallow and a bit painful. "I...You..." She couldn't manage to get the words out without them being a jumbled mess. Lex tip-toed to meet his Six four height. She kissed his cheek softly. He was back, hopefully for good.
