Scott stared at her for a few seconds, there was recognition in his mind the problem was he seemed to have lost a couple of other memories at the Lake and he guessed that this female was one of them... But then again a name came to the tip of his tongue...
"Fire... Belinda... Mel... Melissa?" He questioned rather than answered and frowned slightly trying to think if that was right He shook his head but he could tell that he was close. "Mel... Melinda?" He finished looking at the floor.
Trying to guess her name was good, It got his mind off what they were just talking about.
"You're Melinda Johnson, You came here when you were 18 and you are called Fire Starter." He said rather pleased with himself.

"It was 16. But the name is right. Scott do you remmber when we frist met?"Melinda asked Scott with a smile on her face.

(Lol sorry it said something like 18 in your profile but that may have been when her mother died.)
Scott stared at her for a few seconds and shook his head slightly.
"Nope, It's one of the things that has gone, I thought that i'd still have all my other memories but it seems as though parts of it have been taken from my mind." He looked at his feet his triumph of remembering Melinda's name previously had disappeared. He looked at Jean and then behind her into the mansion. He had a feeling that there was someone else who liked Jean but he couldn't remember who. It was another person gone...

Scott smiled back at her. He actually felt kind of bad for not being able to remember her as if he could recall correctly... She had been here for about five years. If she came here when she was 16. He scratched his head a little.
"Well... I guess you aren't the only one I've forgotten." He looked at Jean again before continuing, "Who's Logan?"

Jean looked at Scott in disbelief. He had not remembered Logan, aka Wolverine.
"You don't remember him, Scott?" Jean asked. "Wolverine?"
She looked at him, to see if he he does recognise Logan's code name. It was like his personality, but he has a soft heart too, for her mostly.

Scott stared at her again for a few seconds, Logan was gone, the name Wolverine brought into his mind the onamatopoeia sound of Snikkt... but that was it. He shook his head.
"I think subconciously... whatever had happened to me that I didn't like or that I didn't want to remember, some how I've blanked it out, or maybe I had no control over it at all. Perhaps memories that really matter are gone."

"I hope so," Jean said under her breath.
She's a little nervous about how Scott will react if he knew that it was she who killed him and it was Logan who killed her. And when she went back, it was also Logan who helped her go through everything, to forget everything.

Scott shrugged slightly and smiled but then remembered the gravestone of Professor X. He decided to disregard that, he wasn't ready to accept that his mentor was dead, in fact he didn't even want it brought up.
"So what else has been happening while i've been gone?" He asked and started to walk into the mansion.

"Nothing, really," Jean said. "Well, Storm opened the school for everyone. There are non-mutants here too."
She quickly looked at Melinda for help.
"Isn't it, Melinda?" she asked.

Cyclops watched her leave and then looked at Jean.
"And what about you? How have you been coping?" He asked and looked around him for a few seconds. Not much had actually changed in the mansion it just seemed as though everyone had changed. Or maybe it was him who had changed.
"I mean with... All of this stuff..." He knew that things would not be able to go back to the way they had been, after all... until a few minutes ago Jean had thought he was dead.

"I'm okay," Jean replied. "Lo...someone's helping me cope with everything."
She was about to say Logan again. Clearly, a part of Scott's mind didn't remember who Logan was. And she did not want Scott to remember it right now. She will have to take it step by step.
"You're going to be a little shcked when you enter the mansion," she told Scott. "It's almost the same except for, you know, the students."
