Carter stopped cold. Though he hadnt caught what she might have said about him, the assumptions were obvious. His hands clenched into fists, and his expression became angrier. "You have no idea who youre messing with" he said to the woman.

Peter didn't bother on picking a fight with someone like him, Peter chose to be the bigger man and walk away besides he was a super hero that doesn't strike hjut because someone is messing with them without laying there hands on the person.

Carter could have lashed out against them, and he almost did. He stopped himself though. They were beneath him, and though he could crush both of them with but the slightest whim, they werent worth his time. And with the final insult of "Idiots..." he rose up into the air and zoomed off.

Melinda heard what the man said and got upset when he said Idiots. She went over to a bench and sat down thing about when she was a kid how everyone would call her names.
