Joseph's eyes widened and he nearly toppled over in his chair. Never had a girl been this forward with him. Sure they'd say I love you a bit too early, but never had they kissed him full on before they even exchanged numbers. The kiss was good he had to give Melinda that much, but it was too sudden. Joseph pulled away. "Damn, Red. Pump the brakes just a little bit." he said.

Melinda turned away thinking I should leave."I should leave."Melinda said to Joseph as she started to walk away. She was hoping he would stop her from leaving."I'm sorry maybe I shouldn't have done that."Melinda said to Joseph.

Joseph was still a bit stunned by the kiss and normally he would have let her leave, but he was in a generous mood. "Sit down, Red." he told her.

Melinda turn around and set down looking at the ground."What?"Melinda asked Joseph. She was hoping that he liked her the same away she did. She just sat the quiet waiting to hear what he was going to say next. She continue to look down at the ground.

Joseph hated these type of moments. "Look, Red, you're gorgeous I'll give you that. But do you kiss every guy you meet within five minutes of knowing them? I know I'm hot, I won't deny that fact, but slow it down just a bit." He laughed. Joseph conjured up a flamed tulip and passed it across the table. "I ain't mad at ya."

Joseph shrugged. "Eh, it's no big deal." he said. It really wasn't, he'd experienced worse. He remembered the time a woman decided that grabbing his crotch was the best way to get with him. It worked, but the sex sucked. Joseph laughed a little to himself. "So, I haven't seen you around the brotherhood so I'm guessing you run with Xavier's crowd, right?"

Joseph lifted an eyebrow at her proposed departure. "May I ask why?" he said. Never had he met an X-Men that wanted to leave.
